Biography

I completed a Ph.D. at the Université de Montréal, Canada, under the supervision of Guy Lapalme and Robert Cedergren. I was then a postoctoral fellow at the University of Florida, USA, where I worked with Steven Benner on evolutionary-based approaches to protein secondary structure prediction. I then moved to the United Kingdom to work in the Biomolecular Modelling Laboratory (Mike Sternberg, head) of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. In 2000, I returned to Canada where I joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Ottawa.
